There is something new in our cities, in this suspended time of the lockdown. You can feel it immediately when you wake up in the morning, if you close your eyes and stop and listen. A new unusual silence full of sounds.
The birds that welcome the spring. Sometimes, a car passes by. Household sounds that cross our walls: people chatting, the melody of a guitar, the laughter of a child.
These soundscapes evoke a time when the day was marked by the rhythms of nature.
Will we be able to remember these sounds, once they will increase their speed and volume again? Will we recognize them as a fundamental part of our experience of the world? Will we be able to understand their secret message?
